Is there a story behind Flamingo Resort?

The Flamingo Resort was established in 1957 by George and Olga Pasternak. After they retired it was proudly operated by their son, George, his wife Laura, and George and Olga’s daughter Chrystyna. The Pasternak family sold in 2021, however, the Flamingo Resort continues to offer family lodging for generations to continue to experience the joy of all Lake George has to offer, honoring George and Olga’s dreams.

What is the layout of the Resort?

We have a unique property with lodging split between two sides of the property, lakeside and mountainside. Mountainside guests cross route 9 to access lakeside amenities. Guests are permitted to drive and park at the beach. Both mountainside and lakeside each have heated pools, playsets, and amenities such as grills and firepits. *See attached resort map

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets on property.

Do you rent dock space for boats and jet skis?

We offer short-term jet ski docking on a first-come first-serve basis and have limited spaces.

We do not offer boat docking and encourage guests who wish to bring their personal boat to inquire with Norowal Marina or Little Harbor Boat Company at your earliest convenience to reserve boat or jet ski docking and trailer storage. For guests who wish to rent a boat, we recommend Yankee Marina (next door).

What do you provide:

All rooms offer fiber optic high speed Wi-Fi, cable TV, AC / heat. Rooms are equipped with bedding, bath towels, washcloths, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap).

Standard rooms are equipped with Keurig coffee makers, complimentary coffee pods, paper cups, microfridge, microwave.

Studio rooms and 2 – 4 bedroom suites offer full-service kitchens equipped with pots and pans, dishes, cups/glassware, and silverware for the maximum number of guests in each unit. All units are equipped with drip coffee makers. Please bring your preferred coffee, coffee filter and paper towels.

Cots, pack n’ plays, hair dryers, iron, and ironing board are available upon request.

What should we bring:

Beach towels, sunblock, hats, floats, air pump, grilling utensils, coffee or extra coffee pods. Bikes and scooters are permitted on property with parental supervision. Umbrellas and tents are permitted for day use.
